Reached Hyderabad Airport in time from Srisailam by blessings of Baba–Audio

I was on a tour to Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh during 2011. After completing the assigned task we left the hotel and moved towards Hyderabad Airport for return journey to Bhubaneswar by hired taxi.

On the way when I asked the taxi driver about some nearby places of tourist interest he told, “Sir, the best nearby tourist spot is Mallikarjun temple located at Srisailam. This temple is referred as one of the twelve Jyotirlings of Lord Shiva and one of the eighteenth Saktipeetha of Goddess Parvati. Shiva is worshiped there as Mallikarjuna and Devi Parvati as Bhramarambha.”

I have translated the book the Sri Guru Charitra in Odia Language. So when I heard about Srisailam I could recollect the leelas of Sri Narasimha Saraswati at Srisailam such as, the visit of Tantuka to Srisailam to worship Malikarjuna and the Mahasamadhi of Sri Narasimha Saraswati near the Kardalibana at Srisailam which are described in Sri Guru Charitra.

Simultaneously a desire crept into my mind to visit Srisailam and I asked the driver, “If we will visit Srisailam can we reach  Hyderabad Airport by 6 PM to leave for Bhubaneswar by flight?”

The driver answered, “Sir, from this place to Srisailam and from Srisailam  to Hyderabad Airport it will take hardly 5 hours on state high way if the road is free. Now it is 9 AM and we can safely reach Hyderabad airport in time after visiting Srisailam.”So we decided to visit Srisailam and proceeded to Srisailam.

As the time was short and a long queue for darshan we did not enter into the Mallikarjuna Temple but we went to the spot from where Sri Narasimha Saraswati left for Kardali-Vana on a flower decorated float. It was a rare experience that thrilled me and I bow down to salute the supreme spirit.

Then we left for Hyderabad airport .On the way we discussed many facts about Sri Narasimh Saraswati , Srisailam, relationship with Shirdi Sai and moved on the state highway.

But suddenly our taxi came to halt and when we looked through the window there was a road jam due to strike related to  formation of Telengana State.

To save time I asked the taxi driver to take an alternate route but he said, “Sir, to make the protest a success they  have obstructed all the routes connected to the highway. So we cannot move forward till the arrival of police and press.”

My friends became very much worried and got down to find a solution. But they could not convince the leaders as they could not speak in Telugu.

I told, “ Friends, why are you worrying? We have visited one of the sacred places of India and Baba will find a solution for us very soon. Let us pray Baba for his blessing.”

We closed our eyes and prayed Baba for his blessing in silence. To our surprise within a short time the police enforcement came and cleared the road obstruction within 5 minutes.

We left the place with thanks to Baba, reached the airport safely and boarded the flight in time for Bhubaneswar.
