Who is Sai Baba?–Audio (Indian and USA accent)

Shirdi Sai Baba of India is considered to be one of the most revered and popular saints of the modern age.

Due to his presence there even after his Samadhi, today shirdi has transformed itself as a great spiritual center to people from all religions.

No one knows neither about his birth nor about his first arrival to shirdi, but it is well known that he laid his foot at Shirdi at the age of twenty and then stayed for the rest of his life in shirdi.

During his early days of arrival, he stayed under a neem tree and later in his abode, a dilapidated mosque which he coined as “Dwarkamai” until his Samadhi in 1918.

Sai Baba is known for the power of his presence.

He demonstrated his omnipresence in living and non living creatures through out his life and even today to those who seek refuge in him.

One Sadhu told the villagers that Baba was “a diamond lying neglected in a dunghill” 

Baba is well known for purity, integrity of religions and also for fulfilling the heartfelt needs, both spiritual and temporal of those who come to him.

He promised that he will be ever active even from his tomb in answering the needs of those who sought refuge in him.

The greatness of Sai Baba lies in the fact that he is beyond demarcations of all religions, caste or creed.

He treated all as a mother would her children, thus earning him the name “Mother Sai”. In fact the name ‘Sai’ means ‘Saint’ and ‘Baba’ means ‘Father’.

Once he rebuked a devotee , who objected to people coming to him for temporal benefits, saying that he was present here today to ensure the well being of all those who sought refuge in Him, be it temporal or spiritual.

He assured further that he will give his devotees whatever they want until they want what I want to give and his mission is to give blessings.

Sri Sai Baba taught through an experience of love.

Many experiences his limitless love which gets reflected as a solution to their heartfelt needs be it healing the sickness, saving life, protecting the vulnerable, averting accidents, granting offspring’s etc., and brings dependence on him.

Baba spoke memorably about the great love between himself and his own guru;

it was indescribable, he said, all-compelling, and filled them both with unsurpassable bliss.

It is this overwhelming emotion that Baba triggers in his devotees, which then becomes the basis for all his “teaching”.

Thus, more than anything else, Baba advised people to rely on the sadguru, who, he repeatedly said, would take care of everything.

The basis of instruction comes either direct or indirect from the devotee’s all round activities of day-to-day life.

He never misses any opportunity, which benefits an individual’s evolution. So, to his devotees Sri Sai Baba is nothing less than a god.

It is a Herculean task to describe an indescribable.

But to gain an insight sufficient enough to enable us to strengthen our bond with him is all we can attempt to do.
