This event happened a few years ago.

I and my wife along with my mother-in-law were returning back home in Flushing from a Konkani Diwali Function in New Jersey.

It was about 11 PM in the night and I was on Long Island Expressway’s middle lane driving at 60 MPH and only 15 minutes away from my house.

Suddenly, I lost power from my car battery and I could feel it at the wheels as I lost the control of my car.

And at this time, there were many cars traveling at 70 MPH on first lane and at about 50 MPH speed in the third lane.

As stated above, I was in the middle lane.

There were lots of cars behind me in the second lane following my car speeding at 60 MPH.

So there was no way I could pull my car to the third lane and then to the emergency lane.

I started to feel my car slowing down.

My blinkers would not work since there was no power in the battery.

Head lights and tail lights went off.

So using blinkers, I could not indicate to cars behind me that I was in distress. My car was slowing down.

And it was just a matter of tome that cars behind me would hit my car and I and my family would be dead.

I have a small idol of Shirdi Sai Baba and Lord Ganesh on my dashboard who always protect me.

I immediately prayed to Shirdi Sai Baba reminding him that his devotee was facing life and death situation.

Car was moving only with momentum.

My wife was almost screaming and my mother-in-law sitting in the back seat had given up all hopes.

And believe it or not after my praying to Shirdi Sai Baba, suddenly Battery got charged and power came back and all lights went ON and I regained the control over my speeding car.

I knew right away that it was Shirdi Sai Baba who obliged and responded to my prayers to bring back the power.

I, my wife and mother-in-law heaved a sigh of relief.

But I was still under stress as I did not want car to loose battery power again for next 15 minutes until I reached my home in Flushing.

So I was continuously praying Shirdi Sai Baba who finally made it sure for me so that I reached my home safe without any interruption of battery power.

Next day I towed my car to nearest garage to fix the problem.

The garage mechanic examined the car and he told me that the battery was completely dead and the alternator was also completely burnt.

And mechanic could not believe how the car could regain the battery charge for last 15 minutes of my drive back home with both alternator and battery completely out of commission.

Shirdi Sai Baba really helped me out and saved me and my family from certain death in above event.

Maybe Baba wants me to play Flute for him for many more years at Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in Flushing.
