Telugu’s house God is Epithet of Vishnu Lord Shri Venkateswara. It is felt that now a day’s Shree SAI BABA has become the House Hold God of many Telugu people. Before the Mahasamadhi of SAI BABA many Telugu people had the darshan of SAI BABA and become His Devotees.
For Example among them are Behera Baburao, Vadrevu Veresalingam, Mantripragada Lakshmi Narasimha Rao, Nandipati Jagannaikulu.
There were many who visited Shirdi and blessed Telugu People were many. One of them was Resident of Ventrapragada Shree Nagabhairava Venkataratnam and his wife Mrs, Nagaratnamma.
She got a disease of swelling on her body. Both husband and wife were much worried. Many eminent allopathic, ayurvedic doctors treated her and left without any result. They heard about Shirdi SAI BABA.
The couple went to Shirdi on pilgrimage and blessed to have darshan of SAI BABA’s maha samadhi
They met Sai Vyasa Poojyashree B.V.Narasimhaswamy
She has stopped taking the medicines. Started taking Udi. The disease completely vanished after some time.
They could understand the greatness of Udi. They have become the devotees of SAI BABA. They got children too.
As a gratitude they wanted to built SAI MANDIR at Venrtrapragada.
On November 16th, 1941, foundation was laid for SAI MANDIR. On 22nd January 1942, SAI mandir was consecrated.
Dhuni was installed with the Fire brought from Dwaraka Mai, Shirdi by Shri P.M.Mohan Rao on April 4th, 1942.
SAI BABA’s Marble Idol was installed by Poojyashree B.V,Narasimha Swamyji on February 22, 1951.
Venkataratnam Couple need to be congratulated not only getting the benefit of Udi, but to distribute the benefit to others too.
Shree Mohan Rao, who consecrated the dhuni has written many a melodious songs with the grace of SAI BABA.
Not only his singing however one could experience the greatness of SAI BABA’s Udi in the temple.
