The Role of Nana Saheb Chandorkar has a special place in the literature of SAI BABA.

SAI BABA used to give many Teachings and Suggestions by making Nana Saheb Chandorkar as a role player.

Nana Saheb Chandorkar was Wealthy, Virtuous and a Learned Person. He has attained many higher posts in a small age. One of the disciples of Ramakrishna Paramahansa by name Ramachandra Dutta has advised Narendra to have a darshan of Rama Krishna Paramahansa one day.

‘I know I have enquired about him. He has no education, I have studied educated like Spencer, Hamilton, Lake thoroughly, how a person with no education would be a guide to me’ questioned Narendra.

The same thing happened in the matter of Nana Saheb Chandorker.

Philosophy was liked by Nana Saheb Chandorker. He liked very much the Geeta, especially Shankara’s commentary. SAI BABA has sent a message through a Village Officer called Appa Kulakarni to meet Nana Saheb Chandorker, who has his position enhanced further.

Nana could not obey the orders of SAI BABA as he felt that how a Fakir in Masjid in a Village would call Deputy Collector like him to meet him.

Ramakrishna Paramahansa has not sent any message to Narendra to meet him, but Ramakrishna Paramahansa personally invited him.

The incidents about SAI BABA and Ramakrishna Paramahansa were appeared to be exception, in inviting their disciples as Gurus.

At last both met the Gurus. The Guru has become the world for both of them.

When there were no three wadas built in Shirdi for the visitors of SAI BABA, it was Nana Saheb Chandorkar who arranged Deras and Meals facilities with his own expenditure.

He arranged a Tonga and a Horse to bring the devotees from Kopergaon.

SAI BABA used to save Nana Saheb Chandorkar not only spiritually, but worldly too.

Nana Saheb Chandorker was a best and true example that SAI BABA would call Devotees as sparrow with spiral tied to its legs.

The person called Sai Vyasa Shri B.V,Narasimha Swamy has praised Nana Saheb Chandorker’s Service Activities and written in detail in a book called ‘The Life of SAI BABA’.

Nana Saheb Chandorker has merged in SAI BABA on August 21st, 1922.
