Khan Abdul Kareem Khan Saheb was expert in Hindustaani Music. While he was in a concert at Amalner in 1914, Booti invited him to Shirdi. He directly went to Shirdi without visiting any other places only for the sake of Sai Baba who is the Jagat Eeswar.

He identified Sai as a Yogi. After exchanging wellbeing questions, SAIBABA asked Khan Saheb to sing a Bhajan in Marathi. Khan Saheb then rendered Tukaram’s Abhang set in Peelu Raaga. That was ‘Hechee Daana Dege Devaa tuja visar na vahava visar na vahava  tuja visar na vahava…’  He rendered the song with much devotion. Sai Baba closed his eyes and listened intently to the bhajan.

After completion of the Bhajan, SAIBABA opened His eyes and said ‘His rendering was so wonderful. He rendered with full of devotion. After listening to it The Prayer would certainly be accepted’.SAIBABA further said that ‘Do not be in a hurry to go from here’.

But on the next day itself he received a letter from home to come back immediately as his daughter was suffering with ill health. Khan Saheb shown that letter to SAIBABA. ‘There was nothing to fear. Call your family to Shirdi’ said Sai No denial to SAIBABA’s words. That family arrived at Shirdi. Totally 20 members were there. SAIBABA gave the responsibility to see the welfare of Khan Saheb’s Family to Tatya Kote Patil.

Khan Saheb’s wife Tahora told Tatya Patil’s wife that they would cook on their own, for which lovingly Tatya Kote Patil’s wife told that ‘SAIBABA would not agree for this.The responsibility of hosting you is being given to us. Please tell us what you want and what you do not want’.

On arrival at Shirdi, Khan Saheb took his ailing daughter to Sai.

SAIBABA gave her Holy water and Udi. Within two days she become totally healthy.

Khan Saheb’ s wife sang ‘Ghaleena Lotanga’ in Ananda Bhairavi Raaga and SAIBABA felt very happy over this. That family stayed in Shirdi for 10 days. One day at Dwaraka Mayee, in presence of all the villagers, Khan Saheb gave his performance till the early hours of two a.m.

Blessing Khan Saheb, SAIBABA has given Him a one rupee coin Once and told him ‘not to spend it’.

SAIBABA has given Five Rupees and Peda in big container to Khan Saheb’s wife.

Khan Saheb was born on November 11th, 1872.
