There was no need of everyone in the family should become a SAIBABA’s devotee. BABA’s grace would flow towards those who were not his devotee too.

Ramachandra was husband of Chandrabai Borker. He was a Engineer. He was not a devotee of SAIBABA. However he never objected his wife Chandrabai Borker visits to Shirdi for taking Sai’s darshan. Ramachandra’s leg was broken once. During that time Chandrabai got treatment for him. SAIBABA appeared in her dream vision and told her the line of treatment. Ramachandra has done as per SAIBABA’s line of treatment.

His leg should have been removed if Ramachandra has not followed the line of treatment as suggested by SAIBABA. This was observed by Ramachandra and that was enough.

Chandrabai was very brave lady. In 1934 she was following Chaturmasa (Four Months Vow). SAIBABA appeared to her in her dream. ‘Do not fear. I would take Ramachandra with Me’ told SAIBABA. She has not feared / Nor wept.

She was a chaste and virtuous wife. In the dream itself she has asked SAIBABA to take her at first than her husband.

SAIBABA did not agree for this. There were many works to be done by Chandrabai Borker and as such it was not possible to take her now said SAIBABA. The dream was over.

She told about the dream to her husband, for which he replied that it was only dream.

Ramachandra had kidney disease. The disease was intensified. He felt his end was nearing and told to his wife, he wanted to die after the Chaturmasa. She requested SAIBABA to fulfill the request of her husband. Will SAIBABA be able to refuse it? Chaturmasa completed, Kartika Pournami arrived. Ramachandra asked his wife to give Harathi to SAIBABA.

He asked her to read Vishnu Sahasra Namam loudly. It dawned on her.

Doctor told that Ramachandra would recover and left after saying this…!

But she knows. Ramachandra has taken the water given by his wife and said ‘Sri Ram, Sri Ram’.

He was praying the God saying ‘Sri Ram, Sri Ram’ and remembering SAIBABA he left his life.That day was November 22, 1934.

Whether a devotee or not, SAIBABA would remain as their Last Companion.
