When SAI BABA was alive many took his Darshan. Not only ordinary people with desires, but great personalities and people without any desires also used to come to meet BABA.

Anandnath Maharaj went to Sawargaon once. Madhavarao, Basant Deshpande, Nadaram Shivram Marwadi & many others also went to Sawargoan to take darshan of the great saint.

All of a sudden, Anandnath Maharaj came running to them after the darshan & sat in the cart to have darshan of SAI BABA.

But people at Sawargaon did not like Maharaj going to Shirdi. So they made immense efforts to stop Maharaj. But Anandnath did not agree.

Anandnath reached Shirdi along with Madhavrao & others. The moment he saw Sai Maharaj he said “(SAI BABA) was a Jewel. You cannot know His real value’

The people in Shirdi used to visit other villages to have darshan of Anandnath. But it was great that Anandnath Himself visited at Shirdi for the Darshan of SAI BABA.

As the saying goes , the tree in one’s own homeyard cannot be useful as medicine.

In search of a Sadguru Muktananda travelled around/across India for about 18 years and in all three times. But found one or the other shortcomings in everyone. Finally after a long search Muktananda adopted Nityananda as his Guru. By grace of Nityananda – Muktananda got international fame.

Muktananda visited Shirdi on 18th & 19th February 1978 & had the Darshan of SAI BABA.

Shirdi witnessed a different positive excitement those two days as Muktananda did not visit alone, around 2000 people including 600 (both Ladies & Gents) Americans too visited.

Muktananda attended Arati at Bootiwada along with his devotees. He had laid a foundation at Lendibaug for Datta Mandir on 19th February. He started a house of lights there.

Muktananda laid foundation for the building to serve Meals, piligrim hall in Sai park & for special rooms in the hospital of SAI NATH.

SAI BABA used to say ‘Here in Shirdi, My People would arrive like ants’. That was a true statement

This phenomena was a classic example for SAI BABA’s words were sine Muktananda with 2000 national & international people visited to a small village like Shirdi.
