Meher Baba was considering SAI BABA as Khutub-e-ershad.

Blessed were thousands of devotees who had witnessed the celebrations of Meher Baba arriving to the Mandir of one of His Five Gurus, SAI BABA.

February 21st, 1954 was that great day!

Meher Baba arrived at Guntur from Vijayawada along with His people/followers. Meher Baba went to the house of his devotee in Guntur.Then, He proceeded to SAI SAMAJ, situated in 7th Lane, Arundal Pet, Guntur.

Meher Baba sat there on the floor. The Reception Committee of the Mandir invited Meher Baba. They appealed to Meher Baba to bestow His Divine Blessings to SAI Mandir proposed to be built there.

They handed over one stone for laying the foundation to the proposed SAI mandir & a Photograph of SAI BABA to Meher Baba.

Meher Baba gave darshan to people assembled there in the canopy (Pandiri).

‘That Old Man ( SAI BABA) was a Specially Worthy of Honour & Respect (Pratyeakamaina Mahaneeyudu) then, & even now too. Very few recognised this’ – Meher Baba said.

‘We are all one & the same. There lies Supreme Being God in every one. I chose to sit on the floor in front of you because I wanted you all to know and think that I’m also one amongst you’ – continued Meher Baba.

Meher Baba was appropriate disciple of SAI BABA. That’s why He was saying so, though all great spiritual people were with Him.

Meher Baba distributed Bananas to all as Prasadam (Offering). Around 5000 devotees took Prasadam through His hands.No necessity of doing Haraties & Felicitations to Him Meher Baba said.

That blessed day was February 21st. A Golden Lettered Day in the History of Guntur.

Today is February 21st. Let us all feel that we had taken part in the celebrations marked the foundation of Sadguru Sai Mandir & obtained the blessings of Meher Baba & earn salvation.
