Devotees or dispels could serve his Guru or his God as per their wish.

Hemad Pant has written Sai Satcharitra. Dasaganu used to say Hari Kathas. Nana Saheb Chandorker through his influence has done extensive propaganda to SAI BABA.

After Gautham Buddha Chakravorty Ashoka has done extensive propaganda to the tradition of Buddha.

There was no money in his Government Treasury. Not only Ashoka, his son Mahendra also has become a monk of Buddha.

Similar was the case with his daughter Sangamitra too. She was very much interested in Buddha Tradition since her child hood.

She was having the relation with Buddha Tradition . She was married to a Buddha Monk. Not only that, she has become a Buddist Monk.

Ashoka has sent his son to Sri Lank on the request of King of Shri Lanka Devanam Priya Tissa to spread the Budhism there.

He has given Buddhism to many gents. But some ladies in the Raja’s Family wanted to become Monks of Buddhism.

So Devanam  Priyya Tissa, the King of Shri Lanka has written a letter to King Ashoka to send his Daughter to Shri Lanka and asked to bring through her the branch of Bodhi Tree in Buddha Gaya.

Ashoka did not like to send her daughter at first. Sangha Mitra used her Body, Mind and Money to the spread of Buddha Tradition. Ashoka then wanted to send her to Shri Lanka.

She was readied to start along with Buddhist Lady Monks. Ashoka has given her one vessel of Buddha’s begging bowl and Budha’s remains with Sanga Mitra.

He has sent the branch of Bodhi Tree from Buddha Gaya in a Golden Vessel through a boat. Sangamitra used to see the Bodhi stem as her life.

But some bad elements started doing harm to her. Some snakes used to obstruct her.

Sangha Mitra has taken the form of Garuda and made the snakes to run away.

The king of Shri Lanka has gone to the sea to prostrate before the Bodhi Tree’s Branch before it reached its bank.

Sangha Mitra walked over 12 miles to bring that Branch along with other Lady Monks. Very strangely one cloud shielded branch from sun.

There was raining as required. It was fixed at Anuradha Puram there.

That  branch which was fixed is the world’s oldest branch as per world’s famous Historian H.G.Wells.

Sangha Mitra has not gone back to India again. She changed many to the Bhuddha Tradition.

Every year even this day, every Margashira Month which comes in the month of December, the day is celebrated as Sangha Mitra Day.

Government of Shri Lanka has released memorial postal stamp on this May 3rd, 1979.

Today is May 3rd. Let us remember Sangha Mitra and Lord Buddha.
