Chittampi Swami, a person worth honour and respect, belongs to Kerala.

He used to work hard like SAI BABA since his childhood.

He even worked as daily labourer too. He was having much desire to learn knowledge or wisdom.

He has initiated a Mantra of Subrahmanya Swamy at Ayyappa Swamy temple by an old saint and told him that ‘By chanting this, you would get everything in life’.

He got many powers due to that Mantra’s Power. He has become a famous Rishi in kerala at the age of his 28 years only.

Chittampi Swamigal was once invited by force to take part in a swimming competition by Velappa Menon of Guruvayoor.

From this bank to that bank and again back to this bank will be the challenge.

Chittampi Swamigal told him that it was enough for challenge if one could go from this bank to that bank only. But Velappa Memon did not agree for this.

Chittampi Swamigal then participated without any alternative. Chittampi Swami has reached that bank and on his return he was there in the half way.

Menon before reaching the other bank, lost all his power and become tired. Water has gone in to his mouth.

On seeing all this, Chittampi Swami has gone back, took Menon on one hand and swimming with his other hand reached the bank.

This was humanity that was shown by Chittampi Swamigal. It should be followed by one and all.

Chittampi Swami initiates everyone. A man with pretentiousness attitude once invited Swami to his Home for lunch.

That man was a Government Employee. Not only myself, there would be some more would come along with me to lunch Chittampi Swamy told that man. That man agreed for this.

Chittampi Swamy has come for lunch. Some dogs have also come along him for the lunch.

The dogs sat much disciplined before the served lunch. They ate the food.

After completing eating, the dogs cleared the vessels carefully with their mouths; they have thrown the vessels at the spot where it should be kept.

It was a strange and wonderful to that officer. ‘These dogs were government officers in their previous life. They have habituated to bribery and suppression in their previous life. The reincarnated as dogs after their death’.

That was moral to be followed by all, and not only this, it was spiritually very valuable incident.

Chittampi Swami who was famous as ViradhiRaja Tertha Parama Bhattar has brought social awareness to many.

Chittampi Swami has attained Maha Samadhi on May 5th, 1924.

Today is May 5th. Let us remember Chittampi Swamy!
