We should not think that most of the incidents in SAI BABA’s literature were occurred only in the lives of SAI BABA’s dedicated devotees only.

Ramachandra Amritarao Deshmukh was the resident of Shirdi. His mother was a devotee of SAI BABA. Deshmukh was not a devotee.

The elder daughter of Deshmukh suffered with Typhoid. The disease could not be relieved even after the girl was admitted to hospital. Her disease was relieved after the application of Udi. When the medicines of a doctor could not relieve her disease, SAI BABA’ s UDI relieved it.

After observing this Deshmukh also become a devotee of SAI BABA.

One day during the early hours Deshmukh’s mother went to bath and fell into a well.

In the morning family members heard the moans from the well removed her from the well.

Every one was surprised that when the water level in the well was about 20 feet, she was wet only till her neck. While she was in the well she kept chanted Baba, Baba. Hence SAI BABA Himself saved by not allowing her to drown into the well, explained Deshmukh’s mother

After this incident Deshmukh got complete faith on SAI BABA. Deshmukh’s eldest daughter was attained the marriageable age, but not a single match was settled.

Deshmukh was worried about this and shared with Shri Shiv Neshan Swamy ji. Immediately Swamy ji told Deshmukh to start parayana (Regular Reading) of Shri Sai Satcharita.

Before ending of the Parayana, the bridegroom themselves came in search of the bride. With total faith on Shri Shiv Neshan Swamy ji’s words Deshmukh started the parayana, as told by Swamy ji, settled the marriage.

The date of marriage was 18th May 1975. For the marriage feast the marriage settlers told that around 500 people would come. But in fact around 800 people arrived at the marriage feast.

The food was not sufficient for all. Immediately Deshmukh went to Shri Shiv Neshan Swamy ji and told him the situation. Then Swamy ji advised to sprinkle Udi on all the vessels and cover them with a cloth. While serving too, the cloth should not be completely removed, Swamy ji said.

They acted accordingly after finishing the feast when they saw the cooked food was remained as it was. On Swamy’s advice the food was served to poor people at Dwaraka Mayee.

Was it the grace of SAI MATA? Or the grace of Mata Annapoorna? Both were not separate at all indeed.
