Bodas was one of the Artistes who had a darshan of SAI BABA. The full name of Bodas was Ganesh Govind Bodas. People call him as Ganapatirao Bodas. He was famous in the Marathi Drama for many years.

There was mention about him in the 14th Chapter of Shri Sai Satcharita written by Hemad Pant. Born on 2nd July 1880, he served the drama field till his death in 1965.

He got membership in Kirloskar Drama Company because of his interest in Dramas and Music since his childhood. He used to observe everything minutely and takes decision. He never had a darshan of Any Great Person. Not only had that he used to criticise them too.

Mamaltadar of Kopargaon Bala Saheb Mirikar was his friend. Bodas was staying in Bala Saheb Mirikar’s home at Ahmednagar once. Bodas had a desire to visit Sai Baba in Shirdi, which was nearby. Bala Saheb Mirikar and Bodas went to Shirdi on one Monday and both  prostrated before SAI BABA. They gave one Coconut to SAI BABA.

SAI BABA asked Bodas to fill up His emptied Chillum Pipe with Tobacco. People say that this was the rarest incident.

”How are you?” Sai asked Bodas and asked Dakshina from Bodas. Bodas immediately gave a Rupee. When Bodas went to take meal someone there commented that When SAI BABA asked him Dakshina, he would have given the entire amount from the purse.

Bodas thought that if he has given like that it would be very good. SAI BABA was a Supreme Being, could He not be able to know the thoughts of Bodas?

While going to home Bodas prostrated to SAI BABA’s feet. ‘Go and give me Dakshina’ said SAI BABA. Immediately Bodas has given entire money which was with him to SAI BABA as Dakshina.

‘You have given Me Dakshina. Lord Narayana would bless you accordingly’ said SAI BABA.

Bodas has not seen any other Great Person in his life. Money used to come to him abundantly.

It was a perfect example of SAI BABA’s saying that “If I take one rupee from anyone, I would give back tenfold”.
