Govind Rao Raghunath Dabholkar was one of the foremost devotees among thousands of devotees who have come to see SAI Maharaj. SAI BABA graced him to write Shri Sai Satcharitra which is a Regular Reading Book. It was Baba’a miracle to make Hemadpanth the author of such a big scripture who did not even know to recite a simple sloka.

SAI BABA has removed the bad virtues of Body, Mind and Speech of Hemad Pant before he embarked upon writing Regular Reading Book.

Sai made the clay gold. Hemad was not having ego like previously. He was not having light opinion on Guru. He used his life for charity and philanthropy.

Whenever he comes to meet any rich or well-known man, he spends his time and speaks with love. His mind was always happy. He used to like stories and songs. So without waiting for any invitation he used to attend those programmes.

He used to help the poor students too. He never said no to anyone, if they ask for.

He used to help the poor as if he himself has come from poor. Dabholkar was very a frugal person. He was not wasting even a small piece of paper. He was doing any work with a skill. He used to give the Chapters written on small pieces of papers for printing.

He has not liked unnecessary expenditure. How could a lifeless small pieces of paper could get salvation if they were not utilised for the seva of Great Person like SAI BABA felt Hemad Pant and thus collected the small and rough pieces of paper to write the Shri SAI Satcharita.

That was his noble reason for writing Shri Sai Satcharitra on small and rough pieces of paper.

This incident reminded us of a squirrel helping Lord Rama in building a bridge.

Hemad Pant’s life taught that not only improving his life, but helping others too.

If one waits for the Grace of Guru like a partridge, then moonlike SAI BABA will not stop for showering grace.

Hemad Pant has merged in SAI BABA on 15th July 1929.

We cannot able to write Shri Sai Satcharita like him, but let us all obtain the devotion of Guru like him.

Let us all pray Sadguru Sai to grant us His grace on all of us!
