On Ashada Shuddha Ekadashi day or Kartika Shuddha Ekadashi day devotees wanted to go to Pandarpur to have darshan of Panduranga. For some it may not be possible to go.

Savita Mali was a gardener. He could not leave his town due to his circumstances. Though could not go to Pandarpur and have darshan of Panduranga, Savita Mali used to have darshan of Panduranga in his Garden only. He used to call each fruit whether unripe or ripe by its tree’s name, address them as the forms of Hari which was brightest form of Panduranga.

He used to say that water that flows, well, thread, water bag – all are involved in the service of Pandarinath, He used to play with throwing water to trees as Ganges, that Ganga too born at the feet of Vishnu, he felt. Eknath too used to call River Chandra Bhaga as his sister.

He used to see the entire nature in his garden. He used to drench the trees with water of his love. He used to ripe the fruit of Shanti. He used to witness the Ranga’s Wealth in Braches and Twigs. does such a person need to go Pandarpur?

Once When Savita Mali was in Samadhi State, Lord Panduranga come to the Garden and put his hands on the head of Savita Mali and brought him to the natural state. Ranga embraced wholeheartedly Savita Mali. This was witnessed by Jnanadev and Namadev.

Not only this….

Every year during the Ashada Shuddha Ekadashi day, thousands of Warkaries go to Pandarpur with their pallakies to have the darshan of Ranga. But on Ashada Bahula Chaturdashi, the day on which Savita Mali merged in Panduranga, the pallaki of Pandarinath would go to the village of Savita Mali.

Every year on the day of Ashada Bahula Chaturdashi day in Shirdi at SAI BABA’s Samadhi Mandir the photograph of Savita Mali will be placed.

That was a crown to devotion.
