Krishnarao Narayan Parulkar, Sadhu Bhayya and Narayana Govinda Shinde were childhood friends. They share each ones’ Troubles and Happiness.

Shinde has seven daughters. No male child. Shinde was a devotee of Datta. Krishnarao and Shinde has once gone to Ganugapur.

One idea has come to Krishnarao about his friend. Asked his friend shinde to promise before Lords holy feet that,‘ If he was blessed with a son – within one year, he would bring the boy to the darshan of Lord Datta’s Holy Feet. ’Shinde was praying from the place where he was sitting. ‘Not like this’ said Krishnarao and took Shinde to Holy Feet and  made him to pray at holy feet in 1903.  Datta Bhagavan graced Him.

Shinde has got a male child. But somehow Shinde could not completed his vow.

It was November 1911. Krishnarao was going to have the darshan of SAIBABA, Shinde at first not willing to come and later has accompanied him.

All went to SAIBABA. On seeing Shinde SAIBABA scolded ‘Were you proud to be yourself. Where was the son in your horoscope? I tore this (my) stomach and gave you a son. If you do any mad works, I would kick you out’.

After seeing Krishnarao SAIBABA said ‘Like that only’. Shinde was crying and tears were rolled from his eyes.

‘SAIBABA, it was a mistake done by me, I am sorry for that’ prayed Shinde.

After some days, Shinde brought his wife, children and male child and put them at the feet of SAIBABA. Krishnarao too accompanied with him then, on seeing Krishnarao SAIBABA said ‘Like that only’.

At Ganugapur Krishnarao made the Shinde to say verbatim the promise before Guru Datta.

That could not be known to SAIBABA. That was why SAIBABA was telling on seeing Krishnarao, ‘Like that only’, as if He knows everything.

The vow was completed without a word being worthless.

This incident shows that we should not forget the vow given to God, SAIBABA was none other than Lord Datta, and How many would remain as friends as Krishnarao. Everyone should know this. Like this only.
