Mahatma Gandhi heard about Gadge Bua. He wanted to see him.

The famous congress politician in Maharasthra Shri B.G.Kher (He was father of V.B.Kher, who wrote SAIBABA book along with M.V. Kamath) has sent Gadge Bua to Sevagram.

They both Gandhijee and Gadge Bua have discussed for a long time.

‘Yes! You have built many, what will be your property’ asked Gandhiji with love to Gadge Bua.

When Gadge replied that ‘This Broom and a tile of the pot’ both  laughed.

Cleanliness was not an item for Gadge Bua. Cleanliness was next to Godliness to him, he used to work on it. Whenever, Gadge Bua visited any village, he used to clean the dirt and trash from that village. He used to carry the begging bowl on his head. In Marathi Earthen Part was used to be called as Gadge. Thats is a reason why Devoojee has become Gadge Bua. yes the real name of Gadge Bua was Devoojee

But SAIBABA’s place was also another name for cleanliness. Balajee Patil Nevaskar, Radha Krishna Mayee etc were there in that work.

Gandhijee further said ‘You have built many’ to Gadge Bua. Those were the Charitable Homes for the poor. Gadge Bua has got an idea of building a Charitable Home at Nashik. He started the work immediately. Money used to come abundantly. After a while money was not collected per the requirement. Gadge Bua was not able to do anything. But work did not stop/interrupted . He was not having the money to be paid to the workers.

He thought. In the past, there were incidents of Gadge Bua and SAIBABA. Whatever be it, Gadge Bua has gone to Shirdi.

Gadge Bua has seen SAIBABA. On seeing Gadge Bua SAIBABA started abusing him. Not only Gadge Bua, but everyone present there heard the abuses.

But Gadge Bua not opened his mouth. He smiled. SAIBABA stopped the abuses and started laughing.

That much! Gadge Bua returned back. He has not got the difficulty in getting money since then. He has built Charitable Homes in various places.

SAIBABA has not abuse Gadge Bua. He was abusing the bad elements that stopped the money flow. That Gadge Bua knows well.

Today is the Samadhi Day of Gadge Bua that’s December 20th, 1956.
