Why Fear? Oh Mind! …. Mahaneeyulu@2020 – 3rd January

‘I gave lectures on Philosophy. But one could see the real philosophy in Turiananada Swamy’ said Vivekananda Swamy while talking about Tuniananda Swamy.

Born on January 3rd, 1863 as Harinath, he has become the disciple of Ramakrishna Paramahansa & become Turiananda Swamy.

When Turiananda Swamy was ten years old, once he was bathing in river, Then one crocodile was coming there. One boy cried out to him from the shore that ‘Crocodile was coming, come out’.

Turiananda Swamy immediately started from the river. Then he felt ‘What I was doing, while I used to chant Soham, & Soham day & night.

Then I forget that ideal, I lived in a illusion that this body was mine. How ashamed of it? Thinking thus he has again gone to the river for bath.

Before starting his life as Saint, he was in that state, Turiananda has felt the state of Turianandam.

Somebody asked him ‘If you were not this body, could you put your hand in this fire?’. Turiananda immediately replied that ‘Yes I could put my hand in that fire.

If I put the hand in that fire also it would not be fired. Only my body would be fired’ saying that when he was about to put the hand in the fire, somebody stopped him as the situation was going out of hands.

When he was in Nangole, he suffered with Malaria fever. Despite that he used to go for Bhiksha to the village.

Once he was feeling very weak. Then he was crossing a river, he fell down to the river. Somebody got him up.

Once about to go to Bhikha with his wet cloths itself, an old lady felt pity on him & has asked about his health.

Then Turiananda said to her that ‘Mother when I tried to forget about this body, you were enquiring about the safety of my body.

Thus you were remembering me about the body again. Please do not enquire about my health henceforth’.

When someone has with the knife that was blocked has sharpened the pencil, the pencil was bended.

Turiananda took that pencil & sharpened with that knife only made it ok.

Turiannanda used to say that ‘do every work with the idea that it would be presented to Mother, & do it excellently’.

That means the Shraddha that was preached by SAI BABA should be done with worldliness.

Today was Turananda Swamy’s Birth Day the January 3rd. Let us get Turiananda.
