Only after SAI BABA has lit the lamps with water, people believed Him as a Greatest Soul. Unless miracles were displayed people will not believe them as Greatest Souls.

Ravidas used to say that ‘Believe in God’s name only, That will be only protection’.

There were always people who says what God’s Name will do. One person said that ‘With Namam (Recitation of Name) you are saying that one could cross this worldly ocean. Here there is one pestle (Round Stone). Show me if it crosses this River Ganga’.

Ravidas has taken that Pestle into his hand & later put that Pestle (Round Stone) in the River Ganga.

He was chanting name of the God all that time. Then that stone reached that other shore of the river by swimming. Then power of Name could be understood by all.

Ravidas may not be known in South India. He has the disciple of famous Ramananda. He was Guru to Meerabai. He was Kabir’s fellow disciple.

Kabir used to say about Ravidas that ‘I have gone across the way by embracing on the Mother’s armpit & Ravidas walked through while taking on Mother’ head’.

There was severe drought in Kashi once. For weak people it has become an axe like thing.

One Saint who loves Ravidas more has come to Ravidas & has given him Sparshavedi then.

‘Sir, What should I do with it. Hari’s name is everything to me. Money would be increased according to expenditure. What should I do with these stones’ said Ravidas.

The saint insisted him to take it. ‘Then ok. Put it in a corner of the house’ said Ravidas. The Saint did that accordingly.

Drought was over. The Saint has come again. He asked Ravidas ‘What happened to the article I gave you, was it useful to you?’.

‘See Gentleman, it was there only, where you have kept then’ said Ravidas.

The Saint shed tears of Happiness over the way Ravidas has given himself to the God.

Ravidas has gone to the building of Meerabai once. She was very happy on her Guru’s arrival to her building.

She arranged for a feast. Brahmins not agreed to eat together with Ravidas. But they were doubting if Meerabai would get angry over that.

All the Brahmins were sitting one after other. Ravidas was sitting with each one of the Brahmins. So many Ravidas in one go, how this was possible.

The Brahmins’ mind has gone. They understood the power of Ravidas. They obtained Deeksha from him too.

In Sikh’s Holy Book Guru Granth Saheb, some sentences written by Ravidas were inserted.

A postal stamp was released by Government of India on the Memory of Ravidas on February 10th.

Today is February 10th. Let us participate in the Nama Sankeertan of Ravidas (Ridas, Rahidas).
