SAI BABA used to keep that brought by Bhuksha in Colamba.  Dogs, cats and crows were used to eat lavishly as per their wish,

Jagannathadasa Baba ji was born in a small village Tangali at present was in Bangladesh.

Jagannathadasa Baba was belong to Goudiya Vyshnava Tradition. He was having a Big Dog. Little Dogs were born to that Big Dog.

Those little dogs used to eat from the plate of Jagannathadas Babaji.

A servant named Bihari Lal chased away those Big and Little dogs.

Every Living Born in this Nava Dweep (The birth place of Chaitanya Maha Prabhu) were holy one. I cannot take food unless my dogs take food – said Jagannathadasa Babaji.

Then Bihari Lal searched those dogs and after bringing them only.

Jagannadhadasa Babaji, when those dogs eating, he was pleased and said in this holy place dogs was very auspicious.

He used to forget himself when Nama Sankeertana was being done.

Though he has become 120 years of age and his body bended like half-moon and someone opens his eyes he would like to see his beloved God.

On hearing Namasankeertanam, he jumped like a boy, he used to take part in Namasankeertanam.

He used to sing on Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu that ‘Oh! Nityananda! What a beautiful Namam has given to us by you!’.

Once he asked bread from a sweeper in Brindavanam and was eating it happily.

On seeing this some people does not like it as Great Vyshnavite has eaten it like that. Somebody asked him why he was doing like that?

‘You know how holy was the sand of this Brindavanam. He should be one of particles in this Brindavanam by Brahma. With that sand itself he was sweeping it means, how holy he was think of him – said Babaji.

He asked Bihari Lal what should be done with the presentation of Rs. 200  from devotees.

Bihari Lal told him to do a feast. ‘ No. Purchase Rasagollas worth Rs 200 and feed them to cows and dogs. That would be ritually good.

 In the age of Dwapara, Lord Krishna incarnated as Acharya of Dharmasansthapana, while in Kaliyuga, he incarnated as Gouranga (Chaitanya Maha Prabhu) – Jagannathadasa Baba used to say.

Some say Jagannathadasa Baba was King of Vyshnava, while others felt that he was devoted Cheftian.

He merged in Chaitanya Mahaprabhu after living 149 years on Phalguna Bahula Padyami (Generally Phalguna Masam comes in the month of March.
