That was 18th March, 1923, Sunday, Month of Chaitra, Sukla Paksha Padyami … means Ugadi (New Years’ day). On that divine day SAI LEELA magazine started.

It was the second magazine dedicated to SAI BABA. The first magazine was published from Pune by Sai Devotee Hari Vinayak Sathe and others.

However the first magazine was closed down in a short period of time.

This SAI LEELA magazine has completed 95 springs till 2018.

The first editor of the SAI LEELA magazine was Shri Ganesh Lakshman Mahajani. He used to be called as Kaka Mahajani.

Editorial was in Marathi as the magazine published in Marathi language.

The first issue of the SAI LEELA magazine was released as a model or sample.

Editor has sent a copy of the magazine to Sai Devotees and appealed them to become subscribers to encourage the magazine.

The two important motives of establishing the magazine were as follows:

It was difficult to collect all the Miracles of SAI BABA,

so the first reason collect as many Miracles of SAI BABA and publish them in the magazine under the caption of Experiences of SAI devotees and the second to publish Shri Satcharita as a serial.

SAI LEELA magazine was started thus and increased like a unmarried young man grown up (Intintai Vatudintai annatlugaa) and published with thousands of copies and getting the love and affection of SAI BABA devotees across the globe.

Shri Sai Satcharita written by Hemad Pant in Marathi was translated into English and published.

SAI LEELA magazine is a red mark on the forehead of SAI SARASWATI.
