SAI BABA’s arrival at Shirdi was for a wedding.

He made Shirdi the most Auspicious Place for the welfare of the universe.  Many marriages of SAI BABA’s devotees were held in Shirdi. A  milliner like Booti’s marriage was  also held  at Shirdi.

When marriages were held at devotees’ houses, SAI BABA was invited, even if He could not attended the marriage, he used to send Udi as Prasad.

There was no change in the situation after SAI BABA’s Maha Samadhi in Shirdi

It is the most Auspicious place even today as well. Not only this, there are facilities available at Shirdi as in Annavaram, Tirupati and Simhachalam for performance of weddings of devotees.

Bhai Rathnabhai was a contractor from Sikkim. His son Jamshedji was also a contractor.

Jamshedji has got the idea to build a place to perform all the auspicious works with all the facilities and accordingly he built a building in Shirdi.

He was such a pious person that he has built it in memory of his mother. That Building is ‘Shri Sai Mangala Karyalaya’.

The opening ceremony of Shri Sai Mangal Karyalay was held on 21st March 1971. The total expenditure of this building Shri Sai Mangal Karyalay was Rs. Two Lakhs at that time.

This building was allotted to performing parties/functions of devotees for some time.

Sai Sansthan used to arrange cooking facilities for the devotees who has taken accommodation in Shri Sai Mangal Karyalay. Now there is a Post Office in that building.

Jamshedhi has initiated this welfare work useful to all when he was a bachelor.

SAI BABA only knows that with whom what work could/or should be done.

Let us all cooperate for hosting welfare works of devotees and spend our time!
