A piece of Yarn offering to the moon! …Maheneeyulu – 2020 – 5th June.

Pavahari Baba life was an example for Yoga Shastra, Divinity, Humbleness and  Love. His date of birth, particulars were not known like SAI BABA’s birth details.

But everybody knows that SAI BABA has attained Maha Samadhi on October 15th, 1918.

But Panahari Date of death was also not known to anyone – Swamy Vivekananda told Sister Nivedita about this after receiving a letter on June 5th, 1898.

Panahari Baba lived at the Bank of River Ganges, 2 miles from Ghajipur.

He got bitten by Cobra once. He remained still for hours as if he was dead. Afterwards he became normal.

His friends asked “what was happened to him?” He replied “That cobra  was representative of God’.

Vivekananda asked Baba “why do not you come of the cave to serve this universe”.

To this Baba replied “Babu! Do you think only hands can help? Mind too can help. Body is not required to do something”.

Baba used to say “Even though you do a small work you should involve completely in it”, He used to show same concentration while praying to Lord Shri Ramachandra, while washing copper vessel.

He never preached. He says “If he preaches he may get a feeling that he is greater than others”.

Once a thief came to his ashram and bundled things available there. On seeing Panahari Baba, the thief running away by leaving the bundle.

Panahari Baba took that bundle, caught hold of thief and kept the bundle at his feet, after offering Namaskaram, tears were rolling from his eyes and told the thief ‘Babu! You forgive my mistake; they are yours, not mine’.

His Love, Virtuousness and his Sweet voice were incomparable. He used to take very little food.

He was called Panahari Baba as everyone thinks he eats Air.

Swamy Vivekananda wanted to learn Hatha Yoga from him, but somehow it didn’t happen.

People once noticed smell of Burnt Flesh from the fire of Homa Dhoopam.

People gathered there. With doubt they broke open the doors and went inside. That Maha Yogi has put his body as fire wood for Homam.

“Great People history (lives) were not ordinary, why they behave in certain manner was also unknown to ordinary people”, told Mahakavi Kalidasu. These words equally suits Panahari Baba.

As a memorial to Panahari Baba, a small book was written and published.
