‘Why so much anger, give reply in a soft manner’ SAI BABA told a devotee who spoke with anger.

The childhood name of Koorma Das was Ilapavuloori Venkata Subbayya.

He doesn’t have both the legs since his childhood. Moreover, he was very poor. He likes Devotion very much. He used to crawl with support of wooden planks attached to his hands.

He came to know that at Vallabhapuram a Bhajana program is being held, Eleswarapu Seetaramanjaneyulu and others would participate in Taranga Programmes.

He went crawling like a tortoise with courage from Singamaneni Palle.

On seeing him, Malladi Subbadasu told him that from today onwards you would be called Koorma Dasu.

Koorma Dasu also went to Pandaripuram with his Bhajan Troupe. At Sholapur two thrives took all the valuables from them and ran away.

Then two police men came and they attacked the thieves and handed over the bundles to Koorma Dasu. Immediately the policemen vanished.

Those two were none other than Lord Rama and his Brother Lakshman indeed.

In another incident at Gosaveedu where food charity was happening.  Koorma Dasu advised those servers to serve only one laddu to each one, as the Laddus were not sufficient to serve all.

Then a Charismatic man came and told ‘Are you afraid of insufficiency of laddus? God’s grace will be enough, Serve as many Laddus as possible’ and he vanished.

Koorma Dasu believed that the person who arrived was none other than Lord Rama.

As per orders of Koorma Dasu, the Laddus were served as many as asked by eaters. They were sufficient. What is less to us when Rama’s grace was there?

There was Nama Chanting for a week at Kadapa once. They decorated the entire temple with paper flowers.

At the time of Harathi, one paper flower caught fire. Immediately Koorma Dasu prayed God. The man riding an Elephant came, normalised situation in minutes and went away.

Dasu was a Good Natured or Sympathetic Person. He was a great devotee. He has done the works, which much wealthy men could not done in a group.

But Dasu was little bit angry person. At Lingaguda a food charity programme was happening.

One strong man shouting Hungry, Hungry and stopping others from eating food. Dasu got Angry.

He served the Strong Man while sitting beside him. No one knows where the angry of that Strong Man has gone.

He talked peacefully with Dasu while eating the food. “You should be peaceful and humble when talking” the strong man advised Dasu and vanished. By this incident, Dasu’s anger vanished.

Today is June 11th, Koorma Das’s Death Anniversary. Let Lord Rama bless us all!
