Those who chant my name repetedly, I will protect them always...Sai Baba

Vishnuchitta was born on Jyeshta Shukla Ekadashi (Jyeshta Masam generally comes in the month of June).

As he was born in the clan of Bhattu, since he was best in that clan, he was called Bhattunath.

He has the trait of Garutmanta. He was having great love for Vatapatrasai since his childhood.

He was not good at education. He got devotion towards God. He used to chant Ashtakshari Mantra in his mind always.

He was happy on seeing the flowers over Vatapatrasai in the temple, decided to submit those flowers to his God Vatapatrasai.

He developed a flower garden for that purpose, and he used to make the garlands of those flowers by himself and submits them to his God Vatapatrasai.

“In order to save for rainy season, one has to care for remaining 8 months, In order to do things for night, one has to take care for daylight,

In order to spend good time in old age, one has to care from younger age, similarly if one wants happy life in other world, one has to take care in this life only” – told in a conversation to a king called Vallabha Deva roaming disguise.

The king gets enlightened with knowledge.

He went to his kingdom and arranged meeting to decide the help of God who gives Salvation to mankind. He further announced that he will present gold to the winner.

One night in dream of Vishnu Chitta, Lord Shri Mannarayana advised him to go for the meeting and give speech.

‘Except growing flowers in the Garden, I knew nothing replied Vishnu Chitta. ‘I will look after everything, you go to meeting’ said the Lord.

Vishnu Chitta then went to the meeting of Vallabha Deva and won the prize after winning the discussion over Lord Shri Mannarayana by telling about Godliness of Srimannarayana.

The king then felt happy over this and made Vishnu Chitta to sit on the Elephant and made the function open to all.

In order to see the festival, countless people came. In order to see the honour his devotee got, Lord Shri Mannarayana along with Lakshmi mata and all his weapons arrived in a Garuda Vehicle in the sky.

All happily saw the Lord Shri Mannarayana in the sky. On seeing this Vishnu Chitta felt happy.

That Swamy himself sung the Mangalam while ringing the bells of Elephant  “Pallandu, Pallandu, Pallai Rattandu” This is the symbol of Vishnu Chitta about the God.

He made the God to hear his Mangalam and such a way Vishnu Chitta became the elder in the Alwars and he was called Periya Alwar.

Let us get the Blessings of Shri Mannarayana, by singing the Tiruppallandu written by Periyalwar.
