Jaalaram Baapa was a famous devotee from Northern India. He used to feed poor regularly. He got many powers too.

Amarchand, a merchant, was traveling in a ship with luggage suddenly due to a hole water started entering the ship. The ship was in a state of sinking. Amarchand has then vowed to Jaalaram Bapa that if he and the boat were saved, he would send the slim rice that was with him in the boat for feeding the poor. Jaalaram Baapa saved according to his wish. Amarchand felt that why should he send slim rice to poor feeding, instead he has sent coarse rice in a cart for poor feeding.

On receiving the Coarse Rice from Amarchand, Jaalaram Baapa sent a message through the cart people that ‘Though vowed to give Slim Rice, Amarchand has sent the Course Rice.

The Holy Persons eat the Coarse Rice only. The Head Gear was left in the upper part of the ship.

Ask the Sethji (Amarchand) to send me that one’. Amarchand repented for the words of Jaalaram Baapa and sent Slim Rice immediately.

SAI BABA was a contemporary of Jaalaram Baapa.

Those were the day’s war was going between Russia and Japan. That war was 8 February 1904 to 5th September 1905.

In the war Jehangir Premjee Daruwala was worked as Captain for some of the ships. He was a Parsee. He was a devotee of SAI BABA. He used to keep the Photograph of SAI BABA with him always. One day his boats were attacked by enemies. There was no way to save him or his boat.

Immediately Jehangir remembered and took a photo of Baba and begged him to protect himself and his ships.

SAI BABA was sitting then in Dwaraka Mayee and clapped saying ‘Haq, Haq’. SAI BABA’s cloths and SAI BABA Himself had become wet in the water filled in the Dwaraka Mayee. (A devotee told that the taste of the water was salty).

There SAI BABA saved Daruwala and sent the ships to shores. Daruwala has sent a telegram to SAI BABA thanking him for saving him from that calamity.

He has come to Shirdi and offered Rs. 2,200/ as Dakshina. That money was used to construction of Sabha Mandap in the Dwaraka Mayee.

Not only boats, SAI BABA used to save life boats to shores.
