God’s service! …Maheneeyulu – 2020 – 5th August

The previous name of Bhagat Puran Singh was Ramjeedas! He did not pass 10th class.

His father was died. His mother looks after him. Do not worry! Those who could not pass could take the meal she was telling.

She consoled the son who was worried. Her father was a farmer. He worked there from sun rise to sun set very hard by his hands are broken.

But there was no belief that the crop could come to his hand. With such difficulties, Puran Singh’s mother has spent her childhood.

As such she was not worried when Puran Singh failed in his examination. If she is not the daughter of a farmer, had she been the daughter of an officer, she could not have been worried said Puran Singh.

Another thing he learnt from his mother. She used to remove the stones and thrones in the way. In Sai’s literature, Abdul, Radhakrishna Mayee and Neevaskar used to work like that.

For them Sai Baba was their God. But here all the Villagers were the God’s Incarnation. ‘The human being was my God’ says Bhagat Puran Singh.

The gurudwara used to have 25-30 pilgrims. He used to see the complete arrangements for them.

He used to wash the vessels of cooking and used to clean the floor. Once one of the Pilgrims has fallen from the upper portion of the Guru Dwara, without thinking further, he was taken to the Hospital.

Another time a person who was oozing Blood and Insects was taken to the hospital for treatment, he told my son. I will die peacefully now’ on showing the love shown to him by Puran Singh.

When India was divided there were 25 thousands refugees at Amritsir. Government could not take proper care.

For many refugees he used to buy Camphor oil and others and apply them.

He begged from the surrounding areas and used to give that money to those Refugees.

He established Pingalwaara without any grants from the Government. That house does not belong either politically or religiously.

It was the Ashram for Orphans and handicapped only.

Vinoba Bhave who has seen many ashrams and temples says that this Pigalwaara was the place where one could see the God.

He is considered to be a sage who worked tirelessly in the path of human service.

For those who have not having anything, God only will be the side of the person it is said.

As the persons who were not having any side, has worked till his last breath Puran Singh.

When God is in human form, the service rendered to them is by God himself.

Government of India has released his memorial stamp. Puran Singh has passed away on August 5th, 1992. 

Both the ways to Devotion and Services were one and same thus shown Puran Singh, Let us remember his today.
