Annadaatree Sadaa Krutaardhaa! …Maheneeyulu – 2020 – 12th August.

SAI BABA used to personally cook for Food Charity. There were two ladies that become famous for Food Charity; they were Dokka Seetamma Ji, and Kaivaram Balamba Ji.

Some people could not tolerate for widowed Balamba to remain with hair. This same situation one could find in Tarigonda Venkumamba’ s life history too.

When a barber has come to remove her hair, the Barber saw a tiger in place of Balamba, and hence ran away while crying.

She has the blessings of Lord Narasimha, everyone thought.

One boy asked Balamba food. ‘I am the poor woman who could not give you food’ she told.

‘I would make you to serve food to all’ said the boy before vanishing. He was none other than Lord Narasimha himself she believed. Who else refuse it?

She has started Food charity then. Particularly she used to regular food charity at Mangalagiri only.

She used to do food charity without the difference of caste and religion. She used to serve multi tasted food charity.

Once she was making to eat the food charity to a barber who wanted to remove her hair.

On Falguna Shuddha Trayodashi day around four thousand sit for food charity. Suddenly the sky has become cloudy.

Balamba offered Namaskaram to cloud after giving Harati. The rain was stopped. Then the devotees were happy and ate the food.

Another day food charity programme was going on. When those serving saw that Ghee tins were empty, the same was informed to Balamba.

 Immediately she went to a Pond where she Offered Neerajanam to the Panakala Rayudu.

From Mangala Giri railway station one porter has brought the Ghee Tins on self-order. He went away after taking the receipt.

In another time Pangalooru Veeraraghavulu has come to see her. She arranged food for him.

In food she served Ariselu, Garelu and Curd. Made laddus to eat for him.

How could I eat there was no place in my stomach, he tells. Then she made him chant Narasimha Namam three times.

Then he ate again after seeing the stomach was empty. He got a doubt. Is that the power of Balamba? Or that Power of Narasimha Mantram? Immediately he understood that both were undivided and same.

This Maha Annadhatri has merged in Lord Narasimha in the year 1944, August 12th.

Today is August 12th. Let us remember her and Lord Narasimha!
