Food was suffcient for all–Audio

Aum Sairam,

This leela of Baba dates back to the year 1999. I had done a parayan of Sai Satcharita and on the 7^th day (day of completion) made the sankalpa of feeding a few poor people.

At that time, a flat was under construction opposite to my house. I decided to invite a few workmen for lunch. My estimate was that I will invite 4 to 5 persons.

So I  met the Supervisor and requested him to send to my house 4 to 5 persons during lunch time. He obliged.

The lunch time came and I heard the gate being opened. So I kept the plantain leaves, water and other essential items ready. I opened the door to invite them inside.

I was taken aback, as there were about 7 persons.

I was not sure if the food prepared by me will suffice for 7 persons.

I put the responsibility on Baba that they must all get enough food and eat to their satisfaction.

Half way through their course of eating, they told me the second batch of persons will be coming  when they return.

I was in trouble because I had no time to prepare more food. I quickly made more rice first. That group consisted of 11 persons.

And they told me the final batch is waiting. I became dumb and scared.

I prayed to Baba earnestly that this was His wish and He should take charge of the situation.

As narrated in Satcharita, in a ceremony at Dev’s house, when the food appeared insufficient, then Dev’s mother covered the vessels and put udi and invoked Baba’s grace. The food was never insufficient.

I pleaded with Baba that he should perform such a miracle today. And Baba actually did that. The last batch of 5 persons also had the food to their hearts content.

I thanked Baba for his wonderful leela. While I expected 5 persons, 23 persons came and had lunch that afternoon.

I shall ever be indebted to Baba for strengthening my faith in him and drawing me closer to him day by day.
