Sai Baba helped in Shooting the Odia Television Serial Shirdi Sai–Audio

During 2006, the Odia television serial Shirdi Sai was telecasted by Doordarshan Kendra, Bhubaneswar (Odisha) on every Monday at 7:30 P.M. under the banner Agro Consultancy Media.

I was personally looking after the story, screen play and shooting to facilitate the production process as per requirement.

We all know that Shirdi  Sai Baba is very kind and He had saved the tailor Kasinath from the killer thieves during his return from Nauru Market.

A date was fixed for shooting this Sai Leela in out door location constituting bushy trees and forests.

But early in the morning the serial director Pankaj Pani rang me and told,

“Sir, today it is raining heavily and not possible to shoot the serial in outdoor location. So let us postpone the shooting today.”

As per the telecasting schedule the story of Kasinath tailor was to be telecasted on Monday for keeping the continuity. But this portion was left during last shooting schedule as the script was not ready.

So I could not decide what to do. 

I closed my eyes and silently prayed to Baba for His guidance. When I opened my eyes I realized that Baba was testing our faith.

Without any delay I rang to the director and told, “Let the production team along with the artists move to the shooting location. There we will decide what to do.”

When I gave the green signal all the crew members proceed to the shooting location with the discussion,

“Perhaps Dr. Parida has gone mad. God knows how the shooting will be done in outdoor location when it is raining heavily.”

When the team arrived at the shooting location I asked the production manager to distribute the breakfast packets and prepare the artists with make up and costume for shooting. Everyone looked to me in surprise. I told them,

 “Don’t look towards me rather look towards  Baba and pray for his help.”

I asked the care taker to bring the photograph of Baba and puja material for Baba’s arati.

We placed the camera and Baba’s photograph in proper place and broke a coconut in front of Baba’s photograph chanting the arati Om Sai Namo Namah….. and finished the prayer with the words   Shree Sachidananda Sadguru Sainath Maharaj Ki Jai.

Lo! what a surprise.

The rain was gradually stopped and the sky became clear. Everyone of the shooting crew was happy to be a witness to this Leela of Sai Baba and bow down with folded hands before the photograph of Sai Baba.

With Baba’s blessing the shooting of the required portion of the Kasinath story was completed without any rain and the team returned back safely to Bhubaneswar with prayer to Baba.

“Om Shree Sachidananda Sadguru Sainath Maharaj Ki Jai.”
