Two for one only! …. Mahaneeyulu@2020 – 10th January

One lean great man along with his disciples was coming to the premises to have the darshan of Lord Jagannatha at Puri.

His mouth repeating the God’s name. The holy Footwear was tied to his neck in a thin cloth falling on his heart.

The Footwear was of his Guru. There was commotion started in the temple.

Some Pamphlets  were there in the hands of some. What was that commotion? What were those Pamphlets? Asked the Great Man,

then it was replied that ‘The Pamphlet was in Oriya language, it was saying by that time a saint with Holy Foot wear of his Guru on his heart will arrive there’.

That saint himself was Shri Sitaram Dash Omkarnath.

It was revealed by a great man called Orissa’s Achutananda Dash exactly four hundred years ago.

He was one of Odisha’s five divine lovers. The others were Balarama Dash, Jagannatha Dash, Anantha Dash & Jasovant Dash.

The birth of Achutananda Dash itself was a strange one. His father Deenabhandu Khuntia & his wife have prayed to Lord Jagannath for children.

That night Denabhandu got a dream that ‘The Garuda, the car of Lord Vishnu, has provided him a son.

Achutananda Dash was born on Magha Shudda Ekadashi – January 10th, 1510.

He had the darshan of Chaitanya Maha Prabhu. He has translated Harivanshamu in the peoples language of the land ‘Oriya’ like other Five divine lovers.

For the name sake it was a translation, but people thought it was a direct work of Achutananda Dash.

After Jagannatha Dash’s  Oriya Bhagavat it has great patronage. Achutananda has written Shunya Samhita & others also.

He has written about the Great Men born in the future. For example Sitaram Dash, Kalakantha Nath, Aravinda Ghosh. Ramakrishna Paramahansa.

He says God not only has Nirguna Form, but Saguna Form too. His way was mixed way of Wisdom & Devotion.

For him both were required the Wisdom & Devotion. For those in the good path they require Devotion & Wisdom.

For a bird, both wings were necessary, similarly for those in good path devotion & wisdom were necessary, he used to say.

As bird require two eyes to see, to see one God one should have Nirguna & Saguna Forms he preaches. Otherwise the look would be partial only.

Today was 10th January, Achutananda’s Birthday.

Let us have the darshan of Lord Jagannath who has form & formless, who spread in this Universe.
