Effort! …Maheneeyulu – 2020 – 8th February.

In SAI BABA’s tradition there were many ladies. There were ladies too those who took Buddha Religion.

Shuddodhana married Mayadevi & her sister Maha Prajapati Gouthami.

Mayadevi on giving his 7 days’ infant to the hands of her sister Maha Prajapati Gouthami Maya Devi passed away.

Gouthami brought up the infant as her own child. That’s why Budha is called as Gouthama Buddha.

After leaving home Gouthama has established the religion of Buddha. Buddha’s wife, son, son & daughter-in-law of Maha Prajapati Gouthami have joined in that religion.

Maharaja Suddhodhana has passed away. Gouthami did not want to live like a King’s Mother.

She requested Buddha, whom she brought up, to admit her as Bhikhak (as Budhist Monk). There were Budhist Monks till then, but there was no organisation for lady monks.

Budhdha refused to admit her. She requested again. Again he refused. After third time also her request could not be accepted.

That King’s Mother along with 500 of her disciples removed their hair (Shiro Mundanam – Gundu). They wore yellow dress.

Then they started by walk to the Jeeta Vanam where Buddha stays. Gouthami was a mother who could not know about sunlight.

She was starting in Sunlight & Rains by walk with her disciples has astonished many kingdoms. Some Kings & Princes wanted that they would arrange vehicles for their journey to Budhdha.

Even their legs could left their control, their feet was oozing blood, tolerating they reached Jeeta Vanam after walking 375 miles.

King’s Mother Gouthami informed this matter to Anand. Anand requested Budhdha & argued with him at last make him agree to admit these women.

First time ever these 500 People have become lady Monks. They have taken initiation from Buddha. They did not waste a minute.

They started living the life of Ashram. Once Gouthami made a beautiful cloth & presented it to Buddha.

‘Do not present me the cloth, it should be given to the association’ Buddha told her. The mother’s love should be limited to own house only.

Gouthami known that Buddha would take Maha Nirvanam shortly. She could not tolerate that before her the person she brought her up was to pass away.

She requested Buddha to leave her body first. In divinity the sanyasins also no mean to others, Buddha wanted to prove. ‘Ok then, you tell all what you have achieved so far’ told Buddha to her.

The matters she learnt were clearly explained by her to Budhdha & to the Association.

The moving on sky, disappearance, going to high from the earth towards sky, seeing twelve sunlight at a time & other achievements she has shown to Budhdha & after offering Budhdha Namaskar along with 500 of her disciples she left her body.

Final rituals were conducted to Gouthami & her 500 lady monks. That day could not be known. With efforts nothing could be impossible for ladies.
