Brightened Prasadam! …Maheneeyulu – 2020 – 23rd February.

Prakashananda Swamy was born in the surrounding areas of Vijayanagaram. His child hood name was Anantayya Pantulu. He got denunciation at his child hood itself.

He left home to go somewhere. He got friendship with Deputy Collector in Belgaum Lallubai Govardhana Dasu. Lallubai was a great philosopher.

With his permission, Anantayya Pantulu has gone on Pilgrimage. He has become the disciple of Amareshananda and learnt various education, took the name of Prakashananda.

He lived life while begging as occupation.  One torn Rug and one Earthen Pot were his property.

Knowing his power, many kings offered him to build Ahrams, but Prakashananda refused.

He used to stay either in Grave Yard or in Dilapidated Temple or under the tree wherever he goes. He never touched money with his hand.

He used to delivery Spiritual Instructions. He used to treat the diseases.

When he removed the disease of Morabi King, he has offered him One Lakh Rupees to spend on Virtuous Works.

But Prakashananda not agreed to take that money, instead advised the king not to collect taxes from the people who suffer with not able to live due to no farming.

Then the king agreed to that and stopped the tax to the tune of 20 Lakh Rupees.

Piradia King invited him to his Capital, then he said ‘I would go to Forest, but would not go to any king’s court’ told the King truthfully.

The discussions he had with another Saint Nityananda Swamy were published as News Conversations.

Though Prakashananda was a Telugu Person and stayed at Gujarat, Rajasthan and other states, he never had forgotten Telugu.

His used to write Gujarati and Hindi in Telugu Script. The News Conversation was the Gujarati Book written in Telugu Script.

That was translated into Telugu, Gujarati & Hindi who knows all the three languages. That book was priceless & very useful.

There were 35 conversations in that book. It gives happiness to those who listen or read Shrutis,Memories, Upanishats, stories from Puranas.

In memory of Prakashananda Dr. Veerajee Bai has taken a cloth from the torn rug.

Prakashananda told that he would inform the day of His Maha Samadhi in advance.

He has named a boy & told that ‘In future please call this boy as Anand Prakash while putting my name in disorder. I do not require any name in future.’

On 23rd February 1962, seeing those surrounding him, Prakashananda has snapped with his fingers & told ‘Chalo’.

At that time, the one crore valued golden ornaments such as Crown & Earrings were fallen at Dwarakadhish Mandir.

As per his last wish his physical body was left at the Sagama Place in River Gomati at sea.

For Telugus his Prasadam ‘Vartalaapam’ got. Today was his Samadhi Day. Let us read his ‘Vartalaapam.
