That day was March 10th, 1911.

SAI BABA had not yet started for Alms. Suddenly he become angry.

Lifted Kafni up and said ‘What you want to see? I am a Fakir, I have the front……and the back ……’ Nobody present around could understood why SAI BABA said like that.

Kartin Sahen (He was Central Indian Commissioner those days), his wife Mrs. Kurtin, Native Assistant Mackleen Sahab and others had come to  SAI BABA’s sleeping place i.e Chavadi.

There was no prior information about their arrival. They arrived to know whether there was any politicking/politics going on in Shirdi – says Neelakanta Rao. Joglekar also accompanied those English people. SAI BABA was washing His face when they arrived at Chavadi.

Mrs Curtin has come down from Chavadi and folded her hands respectfully to SAI BABA. She politely asked SAI BABA that ‘I wish to talk to you’. she has not tried to display her power before SAI BABA.

‘Wait for half an hour’ replied SAI BABA. After completion of Alms, when SAI BABA was about to go again she asked once more.

‘Wait for an Hour’ SAI BABA said to her again. That was the time for SAI BABA to have tiffin.

The observing point here was that, during the above two occasions, SAI BABA neither felt proud that such higher officials had come to see Him, nor has He differed the daily routine for their sake to complete them later.

But those who had come did not have much time. Hence, they went away without talking to SAI BABA.

Joglekar gave Rs. 2 and Mackleen gave Rs. 5 and Curtin also gave some amount as Dakshina to be given to SAI BABA to Neelakanta Rao.

At first SAI BABA refused to accept that amount, but later accepted it and gave the same to a poor man there.What divinity was available in Shirdi and how to get them was informed to Curtin Couple by Neelakanta Rao via a letter with Baba’s permission

SAI BABA blessed Neelakanta Rao. However, entry in to Shirdi & SAI BABA’s darshan both are blessed.
