Living the Life of Truth! …Maheneeyulu – 2020 – 13th May.

SAI BABA’s life is ideal example. His devotees lives also appears to be ideal.

In Jain Tradition, Acharya Devendra Suri is a  great man. Bheemji Sanghapati was a famous businessman in Kambay.

Bheemji went to Devendra Suri and asked him ‘To get God’s grace what type of behaviour I should have’.

Acharya Devendra Suri told him that ‘Tell the truth under any circumstances, so that your life would be happy’.

Bheemji wanted to follow the truth always, as told by Devendra Suri.

Bheemji was travelling in a forest way once. The leader of Robbers Palli Pati Bhila stopped him and made him as his prisoner.

He has taken Bheemji to his house as a prisoner.  Palli Pati asked him how much money was there in your house?

Bheemji told him the truth that there are four thousand coins in his house.

The leader of robbers then sent a message to Bheemji’s son that Your father’s at me, as captive. If you send four thousand coins, I will leave your father

 Bheemji’s son thought. There life of his father, here the coins of four thousands.

The business man’s son then sent four thousand coins to leader of the Robber.

After taking those coins, the leader of the robbers got a doubt that whether those coins were original or not.

Who would clear his doubt? The leader of the Robbers thought for some time.

Then he asked the prisoner Bheemji whether the coins were original or not.

Then the businessman tested the coins and said ‘They are not the originals’.

The Leader of the Robber was astonished after listening this.

‘How truthful he was’ the leader of the Robber praised his truthfulness.

He felt if he gives trouble to such a person with truthfulness, it would be a crime and as such he left the businessman. This was the result of the word he given to Devendra Suri.

Acharya Devendra Suri left his body in 1271.

His disciple Vidyananda Suri has also let his body within six months.

Bheemji felt like a bird without wings. He stopped taking any food, fasted for twelve years at a time. We may not know the date, details about the incident.

In Jain Tradition, Bheemji got a separate name even though he was a common householder.

Let us follow Bheemji. Let us follow truthfulness.
