Keen Intellect! …Maheneeyulu – 2020 – 7th July.

Baba Makanshaw was returning India by Ship after doing business. Not only money but several valuable articles were there in the ship.

Suddenly there was a storm in the sea, making them afraid. At last Makan Shah prayed Guru Nanak (The first Guru of Sikh Religion).

‘Babaji! Please save my ship and the persons in it. I would give you the 500 gold coins that were tied in my waist’ and chanted the Vachans of Guru Arjun Dev.

Like a miracle, the storm stopped. They reached their destination Surat safely.

Then Baba Makanshaw felt that his responsibility got increased. He handed over the 500 Gold Coins to Sikh’s Guru.

By that time 8th Guru of Sikh’s Guru Harikishen has left the body. Sikhs were unhappy over their ninth Guru leaving the body without revealing his name.

The next Guru would be Baba Baakaala said Hari Kishen before him passing away.

Baakaala was a village. They thought that forthcoming Guru will be from Baakaala village. 22 people declared themselves as Guru’s in Baakaala.

“Who was the real Guru? How could we recognise him?” was the problem for Baba Makan shaw.

He didn’t pray Guru Nanak to solve his problem. He has to try himself. If he can’t do it then only he should ask guru ji.

He gave 2 Gold Coins each to each Guru. Those two Gold Coins were satisfied by the 22 false Gurus.

Then who is real Guru? One person was doing Meditation in a small hut, told the villagers to him.

After going to him he gave two more Gold Coins to him. “Let the God bless you. You vowed to give 500 gold coins, but gave only two and why? The real Sikh should keep his Promise intact” told to Makan Shaw.

The person who said so was Guru Tez Bahadur. He not only recognised him as 9th Guru by himself, but Makan Shaw went home shouting “Guru was found”, presented remaining Golden Coins too to Tez Bahadur.

Guru Tez Bahadur became the 9th Guru of Sikhs.

Baba Makan Shaw’s birth day is on July 7th, 1619.

Today is Makan Shaw’s Birth Anniversary.
