Shankaro Shankarah Saakshat! …Maheneeyulu – 2020 – 17th May.

That was the childhood of Shankaracharya, Aryamba the mother of Adi Shankaracharya during his childhood used to go to Poorna River which was far away from her house to take a bath and used to do worship to God and came back.

Her age was old. She could not come back home even after normal time.

This boy treated her mother who became unconscious due to scorching sun on the way. The boy wanted her mother to not face any troubles. That’s all.

By next morning the River Poorna has changed its way near the house of Adi Shankara. Even today also that way was like that only.

SAI BABA also similarly done when one of his devotees Dasganu wanted to have bath in Godavari which was far away. Ganga and Yamuna were flown from the feet of SAI BABA.

Adishankara has gone for Bhiksha to a poor woman’s house. The poor woman feeling shy gave amla to Adishankara as Bhiksha.

Her Poverty and her Righteousness Made Adishankara’s Heart melted so that he granted her Kanakadhara Stavam so that Gold was rained in that poor woman’s home.

Every incident in Adishankara’s life was itself a wonder. One Kapalika asked him ‘I need your head, leave it’.

Adishankara then replied to him that ‘When none of my disciples were there, when I was in the state of Samadhi, you can take my head by cutting it’ like Dadheechi, Adishankara wanted to leave his body.

After seeing the timely opportunity, Kapalika was about to cut his head with a hammer, Padmapada has appeared before him as Lord Narasimha and attacked on Kapalika with his sharp teeth and nails he removed Kapalika’s Intestines and killed him.

After hearing the roars, Adishankara has came out of the Samadhi state and he offered namaskaram to his disciple who was in the form of Lord Narasimha, has offered him 14 verses as Lord Narasimha Stotra in extempore and made him peaceful.

Adishankara has done scholars meeting at Magadha ‘as it was not possible to worship the Nirguna, Nirakara Paramatma, one should worship with Shivam, Saaktam, Vyshnavam, Souramu, Gaanapatyam & Skandam without objectionable to vedas and one should do the Sagunopasana he proposed.

On the suggestions from Sudhanva Maharaj, he has established four Mathams at four parts of the country, through the Guru Shishyas he has made arrangements to do propagation of Advaita Principle.

He has established Tantrika Yantra at Kanchi Kamakshi Temple, he has established many temples as the centre of Kamakshi Temple.

Adishankara is a Multi Faced Personality. He was Yogi of Action, Yogi of Devotion. He was remembered by those who adore Vedic Tradition.

Adishankara has born on Vishaka Shuddha Panchami. That was called Shankara Jayanti.

Indian Government has released a memorial stamp in his name on 17th May 1989.
