Pray! …Maheneeyulu – 2020 – 14th July

From Swamy Shivananda Saraswati’s ashram one tin of Chavanprash came as Prasadam to devotee Srinivasan living in Madras.

That devotee was healthy ‘Why this tin for me’ he felt. As someone came to Srinivasan, he gave that tin of Chavanprash to that person as Prasadam.

Next day Srinivasan got severe weakness. He felt that unnecessarily that tin of Chavanprash was given to someone.

But within one hour another tin of Chavanprash has come from Ashram to Srinivasan!

Once a devotee gave Daskhina to SAI BABA, He gave some money from that Dakshina and said “Keep this with you. It would be useful to you”.

Not only the money he was having, but the money given by SAI BABA came into use for that devotee.

Kuppuswamy became Shivananda Saraswati after sometime.

He was earning judiciously through his practice as Doctor, Once he read “Jeeva Brahmika Vedantha Rahasyamu” by Satchidanada Swamy, of Kadapa.

Then onwards he stepped into the path of Spirituality. He used to go everywhere carrying three bags.

One contained Spiritual Literature, second one contained Fruits and third bag contains some medicines. He used those bags as per necessity.

A letter was received by Swamy Shivananda Saraswati from a Central Government’s highest official.

The Official’s name and address were mentioned in the letter. Shivananda has sent a book to that official.

‘Do not send this type of books to me, and waste my time’ he replied to Shivananda.  Shivananda stopped sending him the books any further.

Two years have been passed, since then. That person has written a letter to Shivananda.

“Sorry sir, you have sent me a book two years back. I did not read it. The situation was changed since then.

I wanted to commit suicide. Then I took the book casually. ‘Don’t be hopeless’ was the page I got. I got the inspiration from it. Your book saved me “wrote that Official.

Shivananda gave preference to wisdom only. He established Divine Life Society.

Shivananda Saraswati has left his body on 14th July, 1963.

Today is 14th July. Swami Shivananda’s death anniversary. Let us remember one of his saying on this day.
