Words were enough ‘Oh’ Sanaatanaa! …Maheneeyulu – 2020 –31st July.

Sanatana Goswami, Roopa Goswami and Anupama Goswami were brothers. They were highest officials in the kingdom of Hussain Shaw.

All the three lost interest in worldly affairs, and hanker for spiritual path. All three were supported by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

Rupa and Anupama were escaped by their jobs. The elder brother Sanathana later escaped from the job with great difficulty.

Sanatana reached Mathura. He was doing Circumambulation around Govardhana Mountain every day.

Sanathana was built a first temple of Krishna there. The name of the deity is Madana Mohan. He has written several books on the advice of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

He used to bring Wheat on Begging and used to prepare roti on fire, first he used to give it Madan Mohan and then he used to eat.

There was no salt in those rotis. The roti was tasteless. Madan Mohan himself one day told he could not eat the tasteless rotis anymore.

 ‘Today you may ask salt for taste, tomorrow for Ghee. I do not have the time to beg the rich people’ said Sanatana with Lord Madan Mohan.

This shows how Sanatana used to spend his time entirely for reading and writing.

Once Sanatan has remained like writing. He forgot the hungry. It was in the evening. One shepherd boy has come to him.

He has given the Milk Pot that he was carrying with his hand to Sanatana to drink.

‘How could you know that I have taken anything’ asked Sanatana that shepherd boy.

“Since morning, I have been sitting there, as well,” said the shepherd boy.

‘You were a little boy, why don’t send the milk by any of the elders?’ said Sanatana. ‘The elders may do their work’ saying this ‘afterwards I would take the Milk Pot’ saying this that boy has gone. Not gone, but disappeared.

Then Sanatana could understand that only Bala Krishna himself has come, in future he does not want to create trouble to Balakrishna and thus thinking he was eating something. SAI BABA also used to arrange food for those hungry devotees.

Around 40 years he used to do circumambulation to the Govardhan Hill.

‘You have become old man, stop Circumambulation’ said Lord Krishna to him. But Sanatana did not agree for it.

Then Lord Krishna got the stone from the Govardhan Hill and used to play the flute. Then the Lord Krishna’s foot prints melted the stone and his own foot prints were made.

You circumambulation to this stone every day then it was equal to Circumambulation to Govadhan Hill said the Lord.

Sanatan has done like that and merged with Lord Krishna on Ashadha Pournami in 1448.
