Every incident would have its significance in SAIBABA’s History.

Once it was raining and there was no place left to sit for SAIBABA in Dwaraka Mayee. After persuading by Devotees SAIBABA at last agreed to sleep in the Chavadi.

One devotee named Narayana Teli has carried SAIBABA to Chavadi. From December 10th, 1909 it all started as a Festival while SAIBABA goes to Chavadi. Later it has become the Festival of Pallaki.

Doondhi Raj from Harda has sent Pallaki for SAIBABA. A pony named Shyamakarni came to Sai.

Sai Baba on every alternate day use to go to sleep from Dwaraka Mayee to Chavadi, that particular incident was the unprecedented Chavadi Festival.There were many specialties in the Chavadi Festival. A few were narrated below:

Lord Narayana has provided the opportunity to His Devotees by walking with them through this Chavadi Festival.In those days Lord Krishna roamed in Repalle with His Boys. Now SAIBABA did the same thing.

Not only this, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has roamed in the streets with chanting of Hari Nama along with his disciples.

But at Shirdi Lord Narayana roamed with SAIBABA’s devotees, SAIBABA has not become crazy to chant the Lord’s name, but His devotees have become crazy.

In Puri Car Festival Lord Jagannadha is out with Balarama and Subhadra from Sree Peetham.

At Shirdi SAIBABA has come out from Dwaraka Mayee to Chavadi. The main idea behind the Car Festival at Puri and Chavadi Festival at Shirdi was the same that from the main place they move.

The car festival happens every year. Then Chavadi Festival was taking place every alternative day. Now it happens every Thursday.

The sweet memories of  Chavadi Festival at Shirdi were Pallaki, Shyam Karni, Holy Footwear, Chillum and Sataka along with Baba’s Photo.

There were many experiences and feelings during the Chavadi Festival. For Shri Pemmaraju Poornachandra Rao that scene itself gives happiness. “This Pallaki Yatra symbolizes the extraordinary feeling that the Supreme Personality of Godhead has bestowed on us throughout our lives. With the divine radiance of the Chhatra(Umbrella), chamaras?(Hand fans), the melody of the music, the human life is a beautiful picture when the pilgrimage is held in triumph “.
